Not sure if its a roadsport but the previous owner of my S2 111S fitted a Jansport to my motor (he's put an installation blog and a video comparison soundtrack as well - which can be found at www.supermachine.co.uk). It certainly sounds quite meaty and is good under full power. I came from a V8 TVR so comparatively it sounds a bit weedy and I haven't heard that many other elises so not in the best place to comment.

I have the road sport on my S1 sounds lovely not as loud as some but a nice deep tone, easy to fit, (bang on 100db with cat by pass and 96db with OE cat.)realy nice tail pipes as well.

From what I've seen browsing this forum it seems to be pretty much a Larini/2bular favouring bunch. Not had enough experience of them to comment to be honest.

If you go onto www.seloc.org and ask the same, you will get pictures of peoples 'stainless' janspeeds rotted out after a couple of years, so they are around, but not as popular as you think.I just bought a Quicksilver system and was really badly made, which was a real disappointment.I am chasing my money back.I have now put on a Bell and Colvill sports stainless system and it sounds nice. Not to loud and cruising isn't at all intrusive and has a nice rasp on acceleration. I did look around for a system for a while and am happy with the conclusion I have got.
Hopefully heres a piccie of the tailpipes

looks a nice system, easy fit or a pig, does the car feel any less restricted? regards the sound, deep tone ?i dont like the exhausts that sound as if the car is doing 100mph when its only doing 30mph,must admit it looks well made

tried Larini and Janspeed roadsport..........Janspeed had a nice original sound and was well built, go for it

in the end I took both off as sports exhausts weren't for me though

Got a janspeed on my elise s2, sounds great, was on when I bought it, given the choice though I'd prefer a Larini clubsport.

I had a hire elise with a Janspeed. The sound was great but within a few days the tips (held on with a jubilee clip ?!?!) started to come off. Not wildly impressed.

peter, fitting it was not too bad as long as you have an angle grinder. The bolts from the cat to the silencer didn't have flats, they were that rotten.Took ten mins with a grinder and another 10 mins to cut the strap camp off from the cat to silencer. If the system is right it takes 10 mins then to bolt it up.The system is not droning and all I wanted was a system that made the car sound like a sportscar rather than an MGF,as the silencer is basically that.I was worried about getting a system that was booming, just wanted a mellow note. Its difficult to say if theres a performance difference. You would probably have to fit a sports cat and induction system to make a noticeable difference.Yes, it revs fine but to see a performance gain, I would n't think it would make much on its own, like any system really.

Hi Op.

I've got the janspeed on mine, it had it when i got it. I've got to say i'm happy with it, it seems to make plenty noise (a follower in a 111R could hear mine over his on a recent blast).

It's not intrusive noise at all. Quality wise, no issues. It's been on the car 12 months of which i've had it 6, and there's no corrosion and all looks well.

I'd have to recommend it on my limited experience. BUT i've no experience of the tubular or larini systems everyone seems to rate.

happy shopping.
