Welcome biggrin

As said above there's a whole gang of people on here who regularly get together down in Bournemouth; called the BOLOCS (bournmouth only lotus owners club).

I'm sure someone from there will be around soon to say hi and explain all.

Hope you enjoy the car biggrin

Tony

I think they tend to just use this forum; and despite ownling an elise for 2 years and living in Bournemouth I never had the balls to invite myself along to say hi!! boxedin

You should though, they seem like a nice bunch.

Edited to say, nice car btw.

Well Mat - you and Ant can introduce yourself at the same time.

Job done biggrin

Rather poetically, you didn't have the bolocs to introduce yourself biggrin

PS: love the car, Ant. I had an S2 111S for nearly 3 years and it was the best car I've ever owned. Absolutely superb, it was, and I really regret selling it!

There is a fairly large crowd, I think last count was in excess of 30. Some have moved to other areas, but still join in when time allows, others are non-Lotus owners, but come along anyway.

Its all very informal, idea is that if anyone wants to go for a blat, they post it on here and hopefully others will tag a long. some of the long term members have mobile numbers of some of the others and post on here and try SMS for some of the more regular attendees.

It has pretty much died a death recently, weather and apathy being the 2 main cuplrits, the hope is that 2009 will see a resurgence in runs, meetings and just general socailising. The BoLOCs Birthday is end of March and we usually try to organise something for that. Last but one was a blat round the Brecon Beacons, with quite a few people staying overnight in a hotel.

Welcome to the mad house. If you havnt already, take a look at SELOC. Opinion is split on the site, some like it others loathe it. Its the definitive site for Technical info on the car though

I smiled every time I got in mine. Did some amazing trips in it too (something I highly recommend for you next summer!).

Welcome!
The BOLOCs have been a bit quiet of late but keep an eye on the forum for runs. You don't have to be invited, if you are local don't think twice just turn up at any BOLOCs run.
Having said that I can't rememeber the last time I went on a joy ride.

Welcome to the fold! Congrats on ytour purchase - you will love it.

Yes, indeed the Bolocs have been quiet in 2008, HOWEVER, I predict 2009 to be the year of the Boloc Revival - we'll give it a bash anyway... Keep your eyes peeled on this forum.

The Bolocs spread far and wide, we have members (very loose use of the word there) in many corners of the country (and some hiden underground in unknown corners of the globe), and many peeps who have said goodbye to their Loti, but are still very much part of the legacy.

Once a Boloc, always a Boloc!!

When this cold weather packs it in, hopefully we'll be adding a dash of colour to the countryside once again!

Welcome, as Mini says, hopefully 2009 will be a bit livelier on the BoLOCs front.

Welcome... look out for a Capt Grinnders Christmas Cruise, somewhere in that quiet time between Xmas and New Year.

Sunday 28th may be a plausible date...

Twinpipe wins, the Inaugral(sp) run, he was down in Bmth for the weekend and just turned up, he'd come down from somewhere north of the watford gap
