Hi guys,
I have an S2 Elise the past year and a half as my daily driver. Loving every minute of it!

Anyway, the mornings are cold and the gear knob turns my hand into an icickle.

Any non metal knobs for the inter? Ill change back to the alliminium in summer, promsie! smile

Thanks in advance

Must admit, I've had the Exige outside for the past few days and in the mornings, my god is it cold!! Warms up fairly quickly though. Just use a glove for a few miles to begin with biggrin

I have a Momo carbon effect knob on mine, matches the fascia and doesn't get as cold as the old metal. drivingthumbup

Lotus do a replacement knob with a leather top, and alloy bottom half.
I have studied the situation including aftermarket ones. Its not as easy as you first imagine, if you have Lift Reverse. Also there are 2 different threads one 10mm for later models, one 8mm for earlier S2s. Santa brought me one smile
Available from any dealer but see here: http://www.bell-colvill.co.uk/LotusShop/Details.as...

You should have bought one of those Innocent Smoothies from Sainsburys a couple of months ago. They came with a free Elise Gearknob Warmer:

yes That gearstick is just painful to use in this weather isn't it? I wonder how people in colder climates cope?!

Get a set of decent motocross gloves from your local Hein Gerrick or similar, and keep them stowed inside your obligatory woolly hat in the car.
