Hi Guys,

I have just tried to get into my 04 L111r and even though both door pins raised when i pressed the key fob i was unable to open the drivers door??
Thank god the passenger door opened and i was able to reach across and open the drivers door from the inside.

Tried several times to no avail...

Any help would be appreciated before i have to take it to a dealer for a repair and risk the loss of an arm or leg, maybe even both...

Cheers in advance,

Brian

Could it be frozen in some way? It was a very cold night last night.

Be prepared for a shock if it is the Module that has failed. Part is £28, the labour is or 3hrs, so close to £200 from a stealer

Try more like £350 from a stealer arent most charging in the region of £100/hour labour? a good indie and youd be getting some change out of £200 i recon

Hi All,

Well, i thought i would just let you all know how i got on with the central locking problem...

I spoke to CN today and booked it in for Thursday to get it sorted. A guy called Paul from CN rang me back this afternoon and i talked the problem through with him...

Lo and behold, it was not the central locking module!!
It was because when my mate had a go in it the other day he had tried to open the door with the key first and had left it in a deadlocked position!!
All i had to do was turn the key in the lock to the horizontal position and then lock and unlock the car with the key fob... DOH!!!

Anyway fair play to CN for ringing me back and saving me the jourmey to them - that and the embarrasment of looking and feeling a bigger pillock than i did over the phone!!

Guess i should just stick to anatomy and physiology!! LOL

Thanks for all your suggestions though guys i really appreciated it.
