Saw this at the weekend and it's stunning, not sure if this is a good price for an R or not though?

Looks good. Which accessories are a must have would you say?

The '06 onwards cars are worth getting imo. Air con is desirable but far from essential. If, like me you take the roof off at every opportunity then it's very easy to live without. If you're a year round hard top man then it's pretty much essential (but then you may as well get an Exige).

I bought an O6 sportsracer and am delighted with it. It's mainly a road car but it's also very capable for occasional track days too. In fact in the it's the most fun I've had on a wet trackday. The sportsracers are set up a little firmer than the standard 111r or R. I think it's a good compromise for less roll on the track at the expense of a little ride comfort.

Purely road - 111r is best

Occasional track - sportsracer (or R with optional sports pack)

Frequent track - exige or older modified S1

Personally I would (and did) go for a late 111S. Drive the 111S and the 111R and see which you prefer; there's not a huge difference in outright performance (although the R is significantly faster at the top end) but they deliver their power in very different ways.

Alternatively, a Honda'd Elise would be lovely. driving

I contributed to this thread the other day, as I had noticed a car that fitted the OP's requirements and may suit yours?

Again, I couldn't advise on the price though?

With MY06 though, you have to make sure the LED rear lights have been sorted properly, as the first lot of them were prone to failures and it took Lotus a while to get sorted.

Overpriced I reckon. I paid 24 for a 12 month old 111R same spec and 4k miles and I reckon I was daft. The above car is coming up 3 years old and the market has fallen out of bed. Offer him 15k max

Yes I was going to ask about values. Market woes well known in general and there seem to be a lot around. Anyone got recent experience of doing a very good deal?

If know the market is poor atm and saw an 04 111R go for £15k,so i doubt very much if ^that^ car would sell for that.
The mileage and spec is in its favour smile
