I am sure it is not too uncommon, sadly there are lots of jealous people out there.

I hope I was not the only one to read it first time and think that the police took their time to investigate if it happened in March! It has been a long day!

Some people just dont like sports cars & assume that the owners are rich, hence they think its ok to ruin somebodies pride & joy! I remember a while back reading on here ( i think ) that some women had openly admitted to parking next to a Porsche at Tesco's & just because the Porsche was parked in one of these "parent" spaces, she decided to throw her childs used nappy into the drivers seat (the roof was off) because she hadnt sat back & realized that perhaps the owner had a child with him/her & had a right to park there! She thought it was funny at the time, but i didnt & neither did anyone else.

has happened since I was a kid in the 70's - cars get scratched by vandals ...the difference now is that more people have nice cars to scratch, in poorer areas, making the situation even worse these days ...im afraid its something you have to live with if you have a nice car/house/anything really ...some vandal/jealous scrote will want to damage it or take it off you frown

Peterbrough is not all that bad; some parts of London are all worst!!! I don't know much about March.

Some friends of mine used to have an office in Peterborough. After numerous break-ins they decided it was time to move out when the police wouldn't respond to calls from a number of businesses to deal with a gang of youths driving up and down, waving a foreign flag and shouting that they were going to kill all the English.

Someone jumped on the roof of my Elise when I left it parked overnight in a nice street in a nice town. Came back to find roof caved in. It popped out and after I cleaned the muddy boot prints off the fabric it was fine. There are idiots everywhere - what can you do?

I find it so sad that people want to damage other people's cars. I am always paranoid about my car and you can never be too careful. While parked up outside a friend's house in Coventry, someone drove into my car, managing to do £3,000 of damage and drove off; leaving me with the repair bill. Charming.
