I would only recommend fitting of eexige side pods to an elise if you also go the whole hog and get the 'scooped' roof to replace the canvas one. wink

If I was going the whole hog I would by the Exige, but still like soft top option (Bit of a tarty comment).

LOL but agree with you all personal taste.

a) It was Ice Blue
b) You two haven't got a bloody clue.

If you've got decent wheels on then they look cool as fk. If you also have a higher powered car, they do improve airflow into the engine bay.

I posted some pics of my magnetic blue 111s with reverie pods and a tigger splitter last month, you can find it through my profile of recent posts, also if you go to the grille conversion kit on eliseparts.com I think they have pics of a black one with pods there. I think they look much better, more 'manly'.

The snow has delayed it by a week unfortunately - guy was due to pick it up on Monday but it's now been moved to this coming Monday. So when I say "my", I mean "mine for another 3 days biggrin"

Simply wanted to point out that you can still have soft top and roofless option on an Exige if you so wish - so don't rule the car out for that reason.

It really attracted me because I went from a 111S and loved the rooflessness, however I haven't ever actually fitted the soft top...not once in 15 months of ownership!

I bet you will miss it, I have been tempted with an Exige S from 111R couple of times, but still love the 111R.

What will you get next?

I will indeed miss it, but not as much as you'd think; I simply didn't drive it, which is the reason I'm selling. It's unfortunate as it's an amazing car, but it would spend months at a time not moving at all and then I'd do 3k miles on a holiday, then not using it for 3 months again - so although 7k miles in 15 months isn't bad for such a car, it was the frequency with which I'd drive it which frustrated me. I, genuinely, sometimes walked into the garage for something and said "oh yeah, I've got a Lotus!" biggrin

The replacement; an Audi S4 Avant. I play the drums and so need to be able to cart a full kit around. I have had a crap Focus up until now for it, but now want the car I spend 99% of my time in to be a nice one.

I've no doubt I'll return to Lotus at some point though biggrin

My god our lives are almost in parallel, except I don't have the full kit to cart about at the moment. Same reason I sold both my last Elises, and the same reason (well almost) that I want an estate. I'd also love an S4. Getting the V8?
