I did my first slalom yesterday driving my little Elise (Notax driving the rally car) and my only ambition was to - hopefully - not come last or look too girlie driving at 2mph.....

And I won my class woohoo

I am chuffed to bits! I've only ever done one ever in the rally car about a year or so ago, and both Chris and I had complete newbie navigators yesterday. My little car was superb and although it didn't look as impressive as others (like the rally car doing donuts and smoking tyres!) it was very neat and stuck to the track like absolute glue! With hindsight I reckon I could have driven a little bit faster too.... laugh

I have a track day this Friday and I can't wait for the next slalom now - and i'm completely in love with my Elise bow

No but I used to do them when I had my Elise so still get the regs through, always thought the Caterham would've been even better but the dates always clashed with race meetings.

It's great fun hand braking and donuting round the cones isn't it? biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Actually, I left the handbrake turns and donuts to my other half in the rally car! I was driving pretty sedately to be honest - fast but neat (and loads of fun) biggrin

Sounds like you've got a perfect teacher for next time then wink

Really enjoyed watching the rally boys in their Escorts trying to out-lairy each other!
