When i try to set the alarm (cobra) on my s2 the siren goes off. When the immobilizer kicks in it beeps 4 times and the lights flash about 6 times. And when i then turn the immobilizer off it does the same again. Car battery is fine and iv checked all the sensors. The boot/engine sensor plug had disconnected itself but iv re-connecting it and it is still happening. Can anyone help me and suggest anything to try? Thanks.

Thanks. Tried that this morn but didnt work. Any other suggestions. How can i tell if the sensors are working? If a sensor was unpluged, would this set the alarm off?

Check your owners manual. The number of flashes and beeps is linked to the sensor which has been activated. IIRC the info's all in there. You've proabably got a duff connection somewhere.

The alarm handbook says.
1 pulse flashing, engine lid or body front access panels.
2 pulse flashing, movement detected by micro sensor.
4 pulse, tampering with ignition circuit.
6 pulse, interruption of battery supply.
Mine beeps 4 times but flashes 6 times confused the only thing i can think of is a fuse problem. But i dont know where it is.

Iv unpluged each sensor one at a time and it still sirens when i try to arm the alarm. Dond know if i miscounted earlier but now the lights flash and beep 5 times when immobolizer kicks in and 5 times when i turn it off. It doesnt say anything about 5 bleeps/flashes in the handbook. Im confused.

Have you unplugged the cabin sensor?

No i haven’t. Previous owner has put a bass speaker there so cant check but i presume its already unplugged. Checked the fuse box this morning and they all seem fine. Accept now the car beeps 5 times when the immobilizer kicks in and once when i turn it off. Then when i try to activate the alarm it beeps twice then a space then a further 5 times. Oh yeah and now i cant even start the engine. Think im going to give cobra a buzz then possibly an independent or dealer.
