I've been playing to get an idea of what my car might look like with stripes. So far the only thing I've been able to conclusively determine is that I'm no artist! So what do you guys think (of the stripes, not my artistic abilities)?

IMHO, i'd say about half as thick, about 3-4 inches apart and offset, would look the nuts.

I think this one looks great with a single stripe and black wheels

No no no no no! nono

Skinny stripes look rubbish on the exige, the car is all about being over the top so don't wimp out here! In your mock-up the front looks about the right thickness but they need to be fatter on the back.

I say DO IT! You will love them. I took the plunge on my exige after a lot of umming and ahhing and never looked back!

I don't have the car any more and I really miss the stripes!

I agree with Minidiva here, the Fat stripes are deffo the way to go.
Unfortunately you have the wrong colour car to carry it off properly should have been Krypton Green hehe (flame suit on).

single large central stripe is the best option in my opinion. Have never really liked the two different coloured ones, fine on a prototype like the biofuel one, but not a production model.

But hey it's your car, do what you like best. Only advice would be do it properly (i.e. through someone that is used to doing it) so that it looks neat and comes off without taking a nice bit of lacquer.

I think the original post looks the best, I like the two contrasting different stripes rather than the bigger ones. Go for it.
