Hi,

On the website it says the following for run what ya brung at Santapod:

''Helmets required for all bikes and open top cars, and any vehicles doing 110 mph or more at the finish line. Arm straps required in open top cars. ''

Does this mean you have to wear a helmet in an elise if you have the soft top up?

Soft top elise = essentially an open top car

so yes you need to wear a helmet

No, you don't need one if you've got the roof on.

I've been twice and never had one.

My standard car crosses the line at 95mph (in 14.3 secs). I think Chris's 320bhp Audi's doing 120+ and 12.something!!

i took my elise to pod, they let me do a couple of runs before they waved me over at the end and told me i was going too fast and needed to get a helmet if i wanted to run again. i was doing 12.5's @ around 115mph to give you an idea. my mates 440bhp RS4 was doing 13.1s @ 116mph and he wasn't asked to wear a helmet all day.
