Certainly worth a look. Spending 1K+ on suspension isn't the mark of someone who doesn't care about the car.

I'd be a bit concerned about the lack of badges on the back. Has it been resprayed? If so, why?

Nice car, interior from the photo looks well cared for. Mileage shouldnt be an issue, although regarding DIY servicing, if it were me I'd be booking it in at a good dealer for a C service straight away, to be on the safe side, but maybe thats me being over cautious.

Good luck if you go for it, hopefully its as good as it looks.

Going purely from the advert I think it looks excellent. Mileage should be no issue as esentially, unlike other cars that rust, an Elise can just have bits replaced when they wear and so a high mileage car can look brand new. Home servicing should be no issue as it sounds like the guy knows what he's talking about. However, as Sean says, either a comprehensive service upon purchase or a pre-purchase inspection would give peace at mind.

I just can't understand why anyone would fit Nitrons and keep Pirellis on?

Could be that its been run on track tyres and another set of wheels which have been sold seperately. A full set of Kumho's is £200 or £400 for Neovas.

Could be that he just wanted to get rid of the Koni knocking noises... He said he only fitted the Nitrons 4 months ago so maybe he was intending to put new tyres on once he had the cash or once those tyres were finished.

Looks alright, worth a look.

Altrezia posts a lot here and over on Seloc and i always get the impression that he looks after the car very enthusiastically.

It seems a bit rich to me with 85k miles but then again im not looking for an S1 and it sounds well loved and nitrons alone are imho worth a bit extra.

That is my initial thought, although the Nitrons do help........

I am a bit unsure at present, if it was priced less I would be VERY interested.

If £8k get you a car that needs no work, its probably worth it. Don't fall into the trap of viewing lower priced cars that may need some major work (or even minor) in the near future as it is a real false economy. Not saying that is the case here, jsut a general warning.
