Just a quick word about claying...
Even when using lots of lube and taking great care, it still has the capacity to mar the surface and leave very fine scratches
The last time I did my car, it looked great... until the sun came out
It needed a machine polish to sort and many pros concur that you should really be planning for that after a claying session

I even started giving mine a polish today. Unfortunately I had to stop as an injury to my elbow whilst doing my suspension refurb started playing up (bloody sore). Covered the car up (rain tomorrow) and will have another go on Tuesday. I like giving the car a good going over once a year and then just wash and wax after that. I don't know what I'm going to do with the wheels though: I've still got loads of little spots of brake dust all over them from my Mintex 1144 days. Even 'Wonderwheels' hasn't moved it
