Thanks to someone snapping off both my wing mirrors last night - and scratching car in process, I'm, looking for new mirror on one side, and complete housing/mirror on the other. Graphite Grey - what is best source of replacements - dealer etc? Thanks

Gits!

Same thing happened to mine, of sorts, my rear glass was smashed. No real problems except the 6 week wait for the glass from Lotus! All sorted now...

Dealer is probably the best source for parts.

I wish people wouldn't post stuff like this, it really gets me wound up. If I found someone doing that to my car I would hurt them quite badly.

Hope you get it sorted quickly and relatively cheaply mate.

what a ps off. Had my Esprit done 3 times so know how anoying it can be. I guess if its an insurance job just go to the dealer. If not you could try Chris R at Hofmanns as they are stipping down a grey Europa for racing and may be ditching the original mirrors for some light weight racing ones.

I think VX220 mirrors are the same and so try with breakers,Ebay, VX220.ORG, but check first as I am not 100% sure. Allegedly the glass in the mirrors are from Rover metros. You could upgrade to convex glass. Hanger111 do have convex glass for mirrors for about £50 a pair, but astheticly I found they left a slight gap and required sealent to look right.

Sorry to hear that. There are some Jealous idiots about. I hope there is some bad karma for those responsible.

Been told this morning that mirrors are same as an Elise. From posts above, I'm assuming that's not right? I need two, so if they fit, matching won't be a problem!

They are metro mirrors - I got mine for £9 each.

Car vandals should be burnt at the steak.

Sorry to hear that. Too many scam is this country.

The mirror body is the same as the Elise (same as the Metro). However the stam (the trianglular part) is completely different to the Elise, but exactly the same part as the VX. Your best bid is try Vauxhall dealer, which is a hell lot cheaper than getting them from Lotus, much higher chance to have them in stock and a lot quicker to deal with your order. Don't waste time with breakers, they will definitely charge you more than get it from the dealer. Good luck.

By the way, when you call Vauxhall, don't tell them you are ordering for a Lotus, they won't know what's a Europa and may not take your order. Just say you have a VX. Thay are exactly the same parts. Hope this help.
