Just been told my exhaust has completely sheared (the cat is OK though) - no wonder it sounded so good last time I was out in it!) Series 1 111s.

Lotus want £600 odd for their exhaust (errr, no thanks) but it currently has a Janspeed on it - apparently I can get a Janspeed one for about £300, plus it is stainless so should last a good while. It has a Lotus sports cat and I am happy with the sound, plus the value, but just wondered if anyone would reccomend anything else.

LArini or Tubular are the popular choices I believe.

I have an Eliseparts exhaust on my S1 and its gloriously loud and deep!!!

I belive they are about £300 and I can't recommend it enough.

Tried adding a link but the site seems a little slow.

ETA - full stainless steel and remarkably light.

I paid about 400quid for my larini. Invest the extra 100 pounds and do it. I have a 111s and I LOVE the sound. I am so glad that I upgraded it biggrin

this janspeed was on when I bought the car 5 years ago, not sure how old it was then. I will keep the receipt for this one! Can't really stump up another £100 and have to say that with the Lotus sports cat on, it does sound good, deep at lower revs but screamy once it gets going.

It was commented on by Tim Mullen (instructor/GT racer) at Silverstone who was standing out on track and said it sounded good!

Click "videos" in my profile and look at the comparison videos I made with my old Larini exhaust.

On the 111S it was fantastic - great noise, and have never heard a bad word said about it smile
