S2 Elise - Annoying Window rattle

Drivers side when the window is up and roof off. Window down, rattle disappears. Hard top on, window up - no rattle. I guess its a simple fix, just point me in the right direction. Thanks guys.

i have this too,i think theres 3 ways to cure,adjustment with the 2 slotted screws at the bottom of door(1 front end,1 towards rear)i tried this but no luck,or the plastic guides on the glass are worn and need some form of tape sticking on them to take up play,or a new window

I had this on mine and when the dealer failed to fix it I had a go as it was driving me mad.

After a bit of messing about I discovered there was a loose screw on one of the window guides. I got at it by putting the window all the way down and using a long screw driver. It was accessible via the gap left by the window in the door and was located at the top front of the door (you know a few inches below where the mirror is - sort of!)

From memory the metal window guide was held in place by a screw about 4 inches down from the gap left by the window and this was loose. Don't think I needed to take any panels off to fix it. Of course I doscovered this after I had taken lots of bits off to see where the hell the noise was coming from!
