there are times when i really wish that i hadn't embarked on the v8 engine, chassis, interior and bodywork conversion...

having literally just got the car back from the brakes dying, the clutch died last night... so back to the garage on a truck less than 24hrs after it left.

hey ho...

You need a nice S160, scandel Green would look good. Maybe you should take a look around and see if any exist

lol... the elise is just sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo last year now.

i was sat behind a dark blue S2 on the way in to lymington last week (you might know it) and it just looked (and sounded) so so dull... after it turned in to marks & spencer car park, i had almost fallen asleep at the wheel of my beemer.

v8 is the way ahead!

The Elise may be so last year but at least it didn't hold up traffic.getmecoat

i was merely giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and reflect on the dominant rumble of my v8 engine and the manly roar of the zorsts.... had i not have been so considerate to you, you would have simply spent the day whizzing around to the sound a hair-dryer/sewing-maching with no appreciation for the beautiful devon/somerset countryside.

the things i do for you all....

Been there, done that... went back to an Elise within a year.

Sorry to hear that you're learning the the hard way, too.

Well you still have some way to beat me, just back from 6 months sailing and still no engine ready for the Ultima!!!

Bad luck about the clutch, but will catch up with everyone very soon!

Alex, it's like watching someone slowly descend into madness.
You know nothing will give you the fun factor for anything like the cost of an Elise, yet you still keep looking. It's a question of "bang for the buck" nothing else will do until you win the lotto.
Come back to the fold, we await with open arms.wavey

Edit to say
I feel your pain, I hope it isn't too expensive.

the car is back today with a new clutch cylinder thingy... everything seems to be in rude health once more (other than me, having suffered the effects of a very very very boozy night with uncle kurt and his crew of cabin-boys)
