I need some help please. My wife was subject to a hit and run last week. Lunatic in a Passat (probably uninsured) pulled out of a junction, hit the front of my wife's elise and drove off. My wife did not get his reg number, possibly because she was in shock having just executed an emergency stop. Two witnesses also did not get his number. Anyway, the nearside of the front clam is cracked in two places and the headlight is at a strange angle. Luckily no injuries and no suspension or mechanical damage.

We live in Lincoln, but I am unable to locate any body shops in the area with experience of fibreglass repairs. It probably needs a new clam, but as the car is 10 years old the insurer might not agree to this. Whatever the view of the insurer I would prefer to use a specialist. Any recommendations within 50 miles of Lincoln?

Many thanks.

Apologies for bumping this back to the top, but the engineer from the insurer is inspecting the car today and I need to make some decisions about a repairer. Any suggestions within a radius of 100 miles of Lincoln?

Many thanks.

I used the Fiat garage in Shorpe to replace my rear clam. Was very happy with the results.

Is that the same Stephen that does the bodywork for Phoenix? If so, I can recommend as well.

You weren't up there about a month or so ago, having been "off roading", were you?

Accrington! Probably nearer 2 hours from us and I am not sure we have the necessary papers to venture out of Yorkshire into enemy territory.
