Lately, well ever since I took my Elise out from winter storage, there has been this annoying squeaky sound when I make hard turns - mostly to the right. It sounds like rubber against wet glas, and I can't get a location fix. It sounds as if it comes from the cabin but also as if it comes from the suspension.
Has anyone else experienced similar sounds? My thought was originally that the rubber bushings caused it, but supposedly they were all changed 1 year ago - right before I bought the car. The suspension is all new - Bilsteins. There is no sound if I rock the car at stand still.

What gives?

Mice. Nesting since the car was laid up for too long. You're waking them up and they're complaining.

hi

my s1 used to squeak - it turned out to be the rollbar bushes either side under the number plate at the front - spray a bit of wd and after lifting the bonnet, bounce a few times by pressing a solid bit of car ! - that cured it - either that or the mouse was alergic to wd and moved off to nearest other motor #!"

The noise sounded like it was indeed inside, near the bolt near the accelerator, but thats holding the steering, which in turn probably transmits the noise inside....anyway that was what my problem was....The bushes can dry out or if they get wet, then squeak when they dry out

the latest one is I sold it, and now have no toy, and just decided to buy a new house, and now there are lots of lovely s2's for sale....
