i quite like these, and was wondering if they were different to normal alloy winders.(apart from the badge)

i have alloy ones already, (its quite alloy-ie already inside El 'beast), but was wondering if you could just get the little badges to cover the alan-key-screw-jobbie??

i quite like them, what do you all think?

they were in the lotus shop, but cost £60ish. should i do it? would you?

could save myself a small fortune...there's enough to buy myself £30 of amsterdams finest hardcore...or loads and loads of jaffa cakes!!

You can buy the little badges from Hangar 111 (www.hangar111.com) - look on the 'Hangar 111 products' page. The badges are the same as the ones that stick on top of the gear knob. They cost £3.50 each. I bought a couple to stick on my alloy winders.

The guy that's got that advert on ebay is a good seller. I've had a couple of Lotus bits off him. I got some silver tyre caps with that lotus badge on the end of them - gjob!

Dragstar?
Didn't we know someone called Dragstar once??

Anyway - I too had seen these on e-bay, but I haven't put a bid in yet. Was it really wise to say that you were interested - I could be bidding against you

Good to see you back anyhoo

Look at the date of the post mate - Saturday 29th November 2003 - the drag queen has got his head in the books and will be keeping out of here for a while. We await the return of the King with baited breath!

Slight note of caution about the eBay auction - it says the winders fit the S1 & S2.
However, I was a bit dubious 'cos I had seen similar ones for sale on the Bell and Colvil and Christopher Neil websites, and they both state that this style, with the round holes and Lotus badges, only fit the S1.
I phoned Christopher Neil to double check and they reckon that the winders won't fit the S2.
They could be wrong, but I didn't want to risk the best part of 60 quid, so to be on the safe side I bought a pair of the polished alloy Lotus Sport winders from Hangar 111.
They are very similar to the ones on eBay but have lines across rather than holes. They don't have the little badges but I bought two gear knob badges from Hangar 111 and they stick on fine + look the business.
