When I bought my Type 25, I fell in love with the factory stripes, and that sold the car to me!

But I've seen various different cars, with various different colours. Some look wonderful, some look utter pants.

What works, and what doesn't?

White with black stripes looks ok Or the Sports Racer's.

360 Stradale has to be the ultimate look but not on an Elise lol.

The Type-25 wasn't my first choice, I would have preferred plain aubergine but I couldn't find one in the spec I wanted. The Type-25 colour scheme was my second choice and I still like it.

Nicked these from a thread on SELOC - I'm considering the same colour scheme.

As you say some look awful whilst other look great. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and aqs its your car then all that really matters is what you think.
I'm loving my recent additions

IMO an off centre combo of three pinstripes looks good and is probably the current "fashion". Just pick what you like yourself though, obviously smile

ETA........erm off centre doesnt make much sense on an elise (centre bridge etc). Id say the stripe colour combo and main colour is also crucial. smile

I think stripes look ace, and highly appropriate to an Elise/Exige.

I would say it can look on the Elise with matching colours. Othwerwise can look a bit tacky, but if you like it, go for it.
