Hi-Torq has had a fair bit of negative feedback on SELOC, mainly due to lack of communication on the seller's part ... I'd be wary if you view the car and give it a thorough inspection before purchasing. I haven't had any experience with them personally, but I'm sure someone else on here can add their 2p worth!

Looks good to me, very good value. Couple of things to check - heater, make sure it blows on all speeds and hot and cold as its a real bugger to fix and a common problem. Second, radiator at the front can spring a leak, also a bugger to fix. Also check no creamy residue in the oil as rover engine can be subject to HGF - although generally ok in these little light lotuses. check it isnt due for an expensive cambelt service (a 'C' service in the book). If so, it might be worth taking the cost of that into account. Other than that Ive had my 111s for a few years and its been great, even though Ive been taking it on track, thoroughly reliable (touch wood)! Fantastic car. Oh-and the hard top is a good idea to get for the winter time while you have the chance.
i never bought from hi-torq but i considered it.
they were the kind of people that had lots of cars on the website, yet when you call them "you've just missed it".
or the sport 160 for 8k, that only when you call do they say "oh yeah that was a race car". i always felt everything on there was a little to good to be true.
dunno why, but something never felt right.
