Just got the old S1 seats back from the factory, all refinished in new leather with Probax lining. Also got a leather clad steering wheel boss centre and the leather clad cill covers. For anyone with the same series 1 seats as me, the old ones had a single cushion on the 'seat' and the original padding was woefully thin.

They seem to have carried out the work to a reasonable standard, they have come back when they said they would and those nice people at B&C lent me some spare seats while they were killing the cow and skinning it for the new coverings.

So, how much does that cost? £ 853.00 notes including SS tax at 15%.

How good is the finish? I will post some photos - I reckon I would give the finish about 9.5 out of 10

I've seen pictures on SELOC of factory re-trimmed seats and they do always look stunning. That said that's a hell of a lot of money!

I've just bought and fitted some beautiful S2 seats for my S1 as long journeys were getting painful (pair of 4-year old S2 111S seats cost me 200 quid).

Feels abit weird at first with properly padded seats as you are 2 inches higher than you used to be and feel like you're 'on' rather than 'in' the Elise.

Well indeed, my wife would agree with you!

To put it in perspective, I bought the car 9 years ago and I will keep it for as long as I can get in it, so although it may seem ridiculously expensive, It was an investment that I hope to be appreciating in 10 years time!

Seems reasonable. Given that the fully trimmed probax motorsport shells with harness holes etc are c.£750 a seat... then you need to buy new rails.
