I'm viewing an S2 on Saturday, it's an excellent price and looks great, has had a suspension refresh and a new head gasket. The prices for AA/RAC checks are ££££££££ insane, does anyone know any local Midlands inspectors that can do a more competitive price? Let me have details if so, thanks! Being of the split-tailed gender, I have a good general knowledge of cars but would like an expert eye cast over this S2.

Hello Simon wink Just found someone who lives 10 mins away from owner's address, who is willing to go check it out. Then I'll still go myself on Sat for a look and a drive. So hopefully all sorted, thanks for offering though!

Hi,

I wouldn't get a standard AA/RAC inspection if I were you. Better to get a specialist / experienced owner.

I got a local lotus stratstone dealer to have a look at mine for about £100 before I bought it and they picked up on the most picky flaws + they took it for a drive for that.

Hope this helps

Post pictures if / when you get it!!
