Tips for secondhand frontparts for an Elise S2:clamshell etc
Discussion
Hi everyone,
After having gone through the troubles of importing my first beloved Elise in Belgium (a 2001 gunmetal grey), I was involved in a 10mph crash where a d#$khead pulled out in front of me.. as a result i tore the clamshell, broke the front right headlamp and slightly split the windscreen.. and the insurance doesn't cover anything!
I am now looking around for a secondhand clamshell in the UK (ideally gunmetal grey or to be repainted) as well as a windscreen and right headlamp (the full lamp isn't actually necessary, just the glass cover).
I have relatives near Brighton, but any input or good addresses is definitely welcome as I already stretched my budget to buy this car.. now I have to do everything i can to try and keep it

2nd hand clams (particularly S1's, but S2's also) are very hard to come by at the minute.

push come to shove, thats not too bad. If you can find a reputable bodywork place, they should be able to help. Will be less hassle than importing and transporting a clam as not the smallest thing to move. The screen you can get from Eliseparts and headlights do come up on e-bay at times.
