Orange Exige

Hi people
I am looking to buy the wife an Exige, I have seen a Krypton green one in the classifieds which would have been ideal but orange is the colour she wants, when did they come out in that colour so that I can see what sort of cost I am looking at as I am looking at up to about 20K

There have always been Orange Exige - it was available on both the series 1 and series two from launch. Quite a popular colour so there should be a fair few about. Chrome Orange was a lifestyle metallic option so a bit more pricey than standard metallic - think it was about 1k.

Burnt orange was offered as an even more expensive option when the Elise SC was launched but chrome orange was also available to order.

I dont think there was a base orange exige in S2 form

only the later chrome orange but i might be wrong.

There's an Orange in the S2 Exige brochure - Evo tested an Orange one in their Car of the Year 2004 article - issue 075.

Edit: oh, I see what you mean, I thought you meant base Exige not base orange!

Yes, I think only chrome orange lifestyle was available on the S2 but was available from launch.
