Exige Roof

Have just started to take an interest in these cars so forgive this dumbass question, but I want to know about the roof - is it a removable panel/ Is it standard that it is a removable panel, is there somewhere to store the panel if you take it off or do you have to leave the panel at home/ If so is there a soft top cover available?

It is a removeable panel, you'll do well to store it in the car though! You can buy a soft top kit from a Lotus dealer or an approved Lotus Parts & Merchandise Dealer. I've got one on my 2008 Exige S.

On the S1 Exige the roof is not removable.... well it is, but given that it is mounted by the rear clam and is used to mount the rear hatch, you can't run an S1 without the roof at all.. not without major modifications.
