Hi, I have a question for you guys in case somebody (likely on here) knows what this noise is?...

I have an S2 Exige N/A with around 15k on the clock, and as of recently when I take off fairly quickly in 1st gear I hear what I can only describe as a pigeon krrruing for a few seconds. Only happens in 1st and when taking off pretty swiftly but it never used to. No difference in anything else i.e. clutch, performance etc etc. Has anyone got an idea as to what this noise is, and is it something I should definitely sort out before it gets worse?

Thanks in advance for the help...

Could it be clutch slip? I doubt wheel spin, you would recognise that eh? I think the clutches are a bit sus, ofter get THAT smell after a bit of spirited driving.

I'm sure it's not the clutch, sounds more like a belt or something like that, as it's more of a higher pitch gurgling sound for 1-2 seconds?...

Have you got an aftermarket induction kit? Pipercross or ITG. If so that sounds like the same noise I get when initially pulling away. Nowt to worry about if so.
