Water water everywhere-none is getting in well not until....

I open the door.
Does anybody carry a towel for those moments when you open the car door and the water pours from the hard top onto the sills thus soaking your suit / trousers? Might be a slight exgaration but a few drops seems like a flood at 7 in the morning.
Also do you find that things like the carpet when left (over a weekend) go slightly damp.
Was considering a shower cap (although as i say car is water tight!) but i wonder if road dirt and now salt doesnt mix with a tight fitting car cap.

Yeah when i had my Exige if the exterior of the roof was quite wet i'd tend to wipe the area of the roof above the windows with a towel/cloth to avoid the water dropping in as well.
I, on a similar note, started doing it after getting in the car one morning to head off to a meeting and ended up with a large wet patch on a suit - that took a fair bit of explaining in the meeting :lmao:
The only time i ever had any damp/moisture on the interior carpets if the car had been parked up were when moisture had ingressed through the rear spoiler into the storage space as the screws hadnt been sealed at the factory and the other instance was water getting in through the roof seals which again hadn't been fitted properly at the factory.
