Is it just me or is the Europa now starting to look like the best car in the Lotus range?

I keep looking at it and thinking what a stunning Car

Got mine just over a month ago after chopping in the S1

Fantastic looking car, drives very sedately when you want it to, and drop it a few cogs and it picks up very nicely too

Think I have done 1500 miles in it since I got it, and its a feck lot more comfortable too

It's deffo my fave current Lotus...

how is it to track?

There was an article (in Evo I think) about a modified one that really looked awesome

I have had mine for 2 years now and done 20k and still every time I walk up to it or away from it I think it looks really nice.

And on the track they can still be a real laugh.

Didnt like it when it came out but now think its the best thing lotus have at the moment, saw one in JCT at Leeds, in pearlescent white - amazing!

I don't think you can go far wrong with the Europa to be honest, as I've said before, a discerning choice.

I love them, I would love one, I was going to get one in March, but thanks to Darling that and his banker bonus tax, I am probably not going to be able to frown

I love the SE with that leather interior, standard car with the lux interior is nice too, but the SE i saw in white (think it was at the motorshow) looked the business

Hold on, weren't you saying on another thread that the new Elise has to go back to basics while the World (and his wife/GF!) all want a Europa-ish Elise S3.... yessmile

I said Looking I.e. appearance. I thought I’d made that clear with the first post. An Elise should be what it was set out to be from the start, lightweight road/track car

I also think the Europa looks better now than when it first came out. I don't know why. Dave.

Ah. Thanks for clarifying - I thought your second predicate on this thread implied another Lotus purchase was imminent...

Agree, it looks neat esp. the SE model with the larger wheels.

The SE is really cool. More S owners should purchase the SE pack.

Question to the owners - how is the Europa for long distance comfort? i.e 60 miles of motorway driving on a daily basis.

I have had my Europa S for a couple of months now, had a S1 111s before that. The Europa seemed very good value to me, an Elise Plus, the only down side being it has a fixed roof. That is no big problem with the weather we have most of the year, aircon is there if it is hot. My car has an upgraded 240 bhp ECU and Miltek exhaust but still returns mid to low 30's to the gallon when driven moderately. The car is very comfortable (certainly compared to the S1 Elise), has stunning performance, is good to drive with a very torquey engine, looks great and I have still not seen another one on the road. The only thing I cannot understand is why there are not more of them about as they are so good. The Europa seems to be looking more attractive these days because they are now going for more reasonable prices in the second hand market, you get a lot of car for your money. They are better value than an Exige or Elise. So sorry to hear about your delayed purchase Shabs, we need people like you to take the big hit in depreciation.
