Evening folks,

I plugged in my ipod today (got the Alpine head unit with the aux lead) and the head unit recognised I had plugged in an ipod but the ipod said "connect topower supply" or suchlike and doesn't appear to be charging at all. Any ideas? Is there some setting I have to adjust on the Alpine?

Also is there a 12v socket hidden away somewhere to charge a sat nav?

I know I know, these namby pamby items are not usually top of the list when you've got 243bhp howling away behind you but got a long trip tomorrow and use of both aforementioned gadgets would be handy...!

Cheers,

GT3

If its a nano then it wont be charged by the head unit frown

Oh,and the 12v socket is between the seats, just look down to the handbrake lever and work backwards smile

Any older style iPod which gets charged via the old means (I think it's using a different pin on the connector) will get charged. Any new one including iPhones 3g onwards use a different pin in the connector and therefore will work but will not get charged. Hope this makes.
