I am seeking the advice of the PH masses!

I have a deep purple S1 which apart from the usual suspension and subtle engine mods is a standard car. It has recently had a bumper to bumper re-spray and looks fantastic.

Despite my desire to keep it as original as possible I am thinking about some new wheels (I will keep the old ones) to freshen up the look and also (crucially) to reduce weight. Can anyone recommend some good looking wheels? Elise Parts have these:

but will they look OK and which colour to get? Also does anyone know the weight of the standard S1 wheels? Thanks in advance.

Plenty of pics of S1s on Rotas in a thread running on Seloc at the mo.
Not sure of weights of S1 wheels - I think there's a list in the wiki.
It might also be worth sending a U2U to black potato on Seloc - he had a set of the gorgeous 340R delivery wheels for sale.

Thanks for trying and thanks for all the replies.

I've seen these in the classifieds:

Would they fit an S1 and are they worth that much more (than the Rota's)?

Yep they'll fit no problem. Rarity (and desirability to some) makes them expensive. They're the wheels that were fitted to the Sport 160 variants of the S1. Heavy if that's improtant to you.
Fitted with a set of virtually new Advans that price isn't far North of normal asking.

Yes they'll fit, are they worth more... depends on what you like. I suspect the Rota's are cheaper and lighter.

I have also been looking to change mine.

It seems that Dymag are a good choice for light weight, but I emailed them and they didn't get back to me - I'll give them a prod.

Fair few quid though, over £ 2K plus tyres!

If your looking to save weight it looks like a light weight battery is pretty good value!

There's a techwiki on SELOC with details on suitable wheels and details on weight etc. Worth a peek.
