Flux have consistently undercut confused's panel etc for me over recent years and have done so again with their latest quote. Before I accept the renewal, is there anyone else worth trying? Also, weren't flux giving a Pistonheads discount come to think of it?

Matthew was cheapest for me last year and have also provided an excellent renewal price. I'll be renewing with them in a couple of weeks. Recommendation here. I wouldn't touch Flux, but each to his/her own.

My Missus tried AF for a quote on her S2 purely as a consequence of them being 'Car Club' friendly etc. They got reasonably close to her cheapest quote from all of the internet based sites.

Just £1000 more expensive.

And another from me - great service and one of the cheaper ones out there with a much lower excess than I was being offered elsewhere

I don't think it's a massive company, I think if you ask for Mathew they will know who.
I got a good quote from them but flux just price matched it and I couldn't be bothered with the paperwork so accepted the price match.Thinking on I should have moved really-price matching is an easy out for these companies.

Yeah, sorry, I should've elaborated slightly. Matthew seems to run HT - he's the only guy I've spoken to there. I'm sure Flux are fine for some, but they caused me no end of grief when I was with them and then refused to even quote to insure me on the Elise as a change of vehicle with my CTR. I won't be doing business with them again. My policy with HT is underwritten by Aviva, if that helps.

dunx/chevron - thanks for the tip off.

Flux were cheaper than all once they gave me the pistonheads discount, which took off about £40 from their original quote, which was a good gesture, but then I tried Henderson Taylor and they beat the Flux quote by a further £83!!!! AND that includes 5 trackdays cover, free.

Matthew was a delight to deal with and called me back when convenient.

I am very chuffed indeed. Henderson Taylor highly reccomended then.

Got my Exige and my TVR with Henderson Taylor. I have nothing but good things to say. Due to renew the Exige this month and the renerwal has just come through and it is £70 lower than last year!!!

CCI were around £400 cheaper than my previously cheap elephant quote (~£550 can't remember exactly, for 26 year old, living in london, with 4 ync and no points).

Brilliant news, mate! I was going to try Flux again, but I really don't feel moved to offer them my business again. HT have always been great to deal with and my renewal came through a couple of weeks ago at £200 less than last year. Deal done.

I told AF I was disappointed that it had gone up after another year (7th) of claim free motoring and they told me it was the way the market was going. So if they have come back with £200 off, the chances are you are wasting your time looking elsewhere.

Nice to have a warm feeling for a change having bought insurance, now I know what Norwich Union meant by "quote me happy", which is something ironically they have never managed to do!

Yeah, I think it's unlikely they'd be able to do anything. I posted in the thread in GG about Flux and had a response from Matt (from Flux) on there. He said RoSPA, which I have, is worth 25% off your premium. Well that's as maybe, but as they refused outright to insure me on the Elise when I bought it, despite 5 yrs NCD, garage, IAM and RoSPA I'm afraid they've lost my business. My old man also had all sorts of grief with them over the tracker when he bought his last M3. Being treated like a valued customer matters with this stuff doesn't it?
