As the earliest 111Rs will be coming up for the C service now, just wondering how much people had paid/ were going to pay for it. I presume it's a similar operation to the Rover engined C service - cambelt etc.?

My C for an S2 111s (k-series) was £493 all in at an Independent Specialist. I took mine to Topgear Wolverhampton who have a 'fixed price' thing on their website I think.

There is no camblet on an 111R - It's chain driven smile Plenty of 111R have already had their C service (or several) as it's 12 months OR 9000 miles service interval smile

Your service log details what needs to be done on a "C" service (54,000 mile service).

111r's dont have a cambelt............ I though it was just major and minor service. I take mine to back on track, (K series) and change brake fluid every year included etc. If you can try a recommended independant. Much more bang for your buck. Mates Exige boot release cable just failed. Local dealer wanted £170 plus vat to replace it. Cable cost £8 and was an hour to replace including rerouting away from siting on the exhaust manifold, which fried it originally.............Another friends car wheel bolts were tightened by a dealer after replacing tyres and no one could get them off...........went back to the dealer to sort in the end, who had to resort to drilling them off...........I wonder how they keep buisness.............( this is 2 seperate dealers who have a 'good recommendation', apparently)

No one seems to use a torque wrench these days - which doesn't really matter on a shopping trolly but on these little beasties it does.

Why would it be any different on a shopping trolley? It's just as much of a pain in the arse to get them off again afterwards.

I 'always' use a torque wrench from the Fiesta to the Lotus in our stables.

Shopping trollies rarely have such flimsy bolts in comparison to an Elise - they are quite easy to shear off or wreck the splines, that and they normally have more contact area to corrode on as well.

If there's no cambelt on a 111R how come the C service costs so much more? confused
