not sure who has said as much?no reason physically that I can imagine, Yota cars have much more room for the engine...
I can imagine people not wanting to use the 2.0TFSi engine over the older 1.8T as they (apparently) are not as strong and the FSi system is hard work (either to replace with conventional Fi or use a Revo modified Audi ECU)
PSR are doing a 2.0 litre FSI Audi and it's taken them an age. I'm sure in a few years time the FSI will be supported by a few aftermarket ECU's but currently only MOTEC do one and that will be £££. Also, the associated fuel system will need some careful thought an implementation. Better bet to overbore a 1.8 if it's some extra ponies you're after!
