Recommend me an outdoor cover

My poor S1 Elise has to sit on the drive due to the ammount of rubbish in my garage!

I purchased a cover for my Merc which was "breathable" but I think that was another phrase for "crap fabric" as its rubbish. I'd like something waterproof and fairly easy to take on and off and that is not going to be blown off by the smallest of breezes!

Any suggestions?

Specialised Car Covers - not the cheapest, but custom fit and bloody good.

Ive had one for 3 cars now, wouldnt bother with anything else ...not cheap, but hold their value better than the car usually LOL

..you can sell used ones, in good nick for £100, and they are £150-80 new depending on car

covers are only good if the car is clean and also the cover, or it will just scratch the paint and ruin it. Best to leave it uncovered or with a cover which doesn't touch the paint.

As far as I know fully waterproof won't be breathable - it's normal for a breathable cover to eventually get saturated on the top of the car (which will mean the paint on roof/bonnet/bootlid will get slightly damp). However, good covers will dry out very quickly and they still keep the car effectively dry.

Get a tailored cover with pockets for the mirrors - they make the car look like it has ears but they help keep the cover on during windy weather!

Definately the specialised car covers one - quality is top notch and they even sent me some free patched when mine got 'nibbled' by a mouse

i bought a Tyvek cover from Halfords... waterproof and breathable... the small size fits the elise perfectly and it's cheap as chips.

Dont get anything from coveryourcar , got a voyager cover for elise which is meant to protect from frost aswell as uv,etc but any kind of frost penetrates cover, leaving wet covered car once the weather heats up - not good !!
