Bogie had one, it was VERY loud by all accounts. It gave him a head ache so he sold it.

I'm sure he said 130db @ tickover or something ridiculous like that

I read on SELOC Bogie had one, was just looking around to see if anyone else had bought one. Might just get it anyway for that price and if i don't like it i'm sure i could shift it on ebay...

thats what I did ....didnt lose any money on it hardly ...just my eardrums LOL smile

its hard to describe what 130dB at TICKOVER is like until you hear it ....its a lot of fun and giggles for errrr...about 10 minutes

then I dare not drive the car until I got it taken off for fear of being nicked....I even tried it with a cat fitted, made bugger all difference

buy it for laugh, if you fit yourself, not much to lose ...if its not a daily driver, you might live with it for a few weekends wink

130 dB?

Idle?

Nope, that's mental. Especially on an inline four, it'd be full-on offensive to anyone you drove past. Hope you didn't take it through any towns hehe

yes

yes

yes it was offensive

140dB when throttle blipped

as measured by Sinclaires after fitting ...it nearly deafened us all in the workshop...I then went for a drive ...they could hear me coming from the M25 junction 3 miles away when I floored it LOL

it was over the threshold of pain for people near it....blip the throttle and make spectators deaf type of thing ...not pleasant at all ...

theyve been selling those exhausts over 5 years on ebay ...after reports from me and another guy who bought them initially, they made another design, that is far better...the "non race" version that has a real back box and silencer packing ,not just straight through pipes with a pair of baked bean cans LOL wink

/quality is excellent though, welding etc spot on

..actually I just looked at that link again ...that is the *revised* "race" version - its got 2 extra smaller baked bean cans on it too ....its probably not so bad as the original, which was just the 2 nearer ones ...still, when these guys say "race" what they really mean is a race with no noise regs - you wont be legal on any UK track or road, race or not frown

I'll echo what Bogie said. I bought the race version in 2006, very well made, but my god it was loud!

On a summers evening, roof off, driving through the Yorkshire Dales, the noise rebounding off the valley, i swear it sounded like a WRC rally car cloud9
