its quite scary
the S1 seems to have suddenely dropped off the radar
happens to all cars good eventually
find me a good low-ish miles, nice looking 111s, sport 160 or 135 sport ? They don't exist !
Its like 964 turbos, 993 C2's, 968cs's etc... suddenely all you see in teh classifieds are old dogs

If my house move comes off this week then, begrudgingly, there could be a nice completely standard black S160 with less than 20k miles on the clock coming to the market.
Please give me a shout if you know anyone who is feeling charitable, willing to offer a shoulder to cry on or who would let me visit the car after we part company.

I've been looking at 964 C2s thinking the same thing - a manual C2 coupe in a nice colour doesn't seem to come up that often. the S1 seems to have suddenely dropped off the radar

S1 shortage a lot to do with it being mentioned as a future classic methinks. I agree that it will be but between then and now the hangers on will be in for some hefty bills.
I still miss mine but still remember the roof mechanism going belly up and had it not been under warranty would have cost £900..for a piece of fabric.
Would love another but not sure I'd pay a premium over an S2.
