Hi Guys,

Was thinking about having my Exige wrapped in Matt Black for the ultimate stealth look (a bit like the Scura)

Can anyone recommend around Pontefrac/Leeds area?

Thanks!

Ryan, one of our lads has recently looked into wrapping his Elise. If you post in the public area of the nyloc.org forum, Martin and Danny should be able to help.

^ Sounds great! Can you pm me the rough costings. Also would you be able to source original decals? I think I would need the wheels coating Matt Black too. Finally, what was the name of the exhaust company you told me about at my last service?

Questions questions......

Is there any effects on paintwork if you choose to remove it after a year or so.

Dave.
No there shouldn't be any adverse effects to the bodywork if after 3 say years, you decide that you didn't like it. Very similiar to armourfend.
Ryan will enquire and pm you. I will also enquire about decals also.
The gent i mentioned was. Jim at 2ubular exhausts.

Although eliseparts now stock re-packable silencers that seem to be very well made(but haven't seen one up close and personal, but have seen many 2ubulars.)

Personally i like the open look of the gt3 side exit exhaust.

I had my NSX done in satin black by Raccoon. Supposedly it is better than matt as it won't scuff as badly. Problem is, it's already started chipping.

I'm going to get the same colour done to my Elise S1, do you think you can put that clear ventureshield over it, as if it were paint?

Totally Dynamic are undoubtedly the best vehicle wrappers in the country, but as someone else mentioned the film will chip very easily.
If they are not printed wraps, like matt black then there won't even be a laminate on top and when you are talking about £2k to £5k for a wrap with straight pre-coloured film, £5k for a digital wrap or foil effect, you want it to last.
In Norfolk I offer & down in London my fellow paint protection guy offer to Ventureshield the car afterwards but this has never been taken up on, seems daft to spend all that then not protect it so it's up to the buyer to ask the wrapper to sort out protection or sort it out themselves.
KPMF/VWS offer paint protection but it is just a standard thin laminate for protecting digital prints, not for protecting paint.
Wrapping film is normally around 50 microns, the laminate can be even thinner, paint protection film is 150 microns.

I hadn't realised that the matt black new Focus RS500 was a wrap.

Back On Track in Guildford recently quoted me £1430+VAT to wrap an Elise, including hardtop and interior reveals. They have a very good reputation on SELOC, and have done several Elise including one of the guys that works there.
