My 11 year old S1 super machine got me to Monaco and back, 2,200 miles in total and she never missed a heartbeat. Awesome!

The tunnel was amazing, if only to drive through it. The speed limit is only 30mph so generating nice sound effects is severely limited (but with very good reason given the number of people that could be walking though at any given time)

When we went to the Historique in 2008 a encountered a party of Brits in the tunnel - 3 F430 Spyders and 1 Gallado. All in second gear revving the nuts out of them. Wasn't jealous or anything...

I have 1,000 photos at home. Ill look at posting some on here tonight.

I also blagged a tour of the Lotus pit garage! I was walking by the garage and a partition was open so I popped my head in and asked one of the Lotus techinicians if I could have a tour being a Lotus owner. He asked what proof I had so showed him my keys. To my complete surprise he said pop in then! Fantastic!!

2 people? Long trip? How did you handle the practicalities of luggage?

I have a holdall that firs perfectly in the boot and also have an alternative solution to a boot rack called a bootbag which effectively doubled the boot space. I also filled all the gaps in the cabin with smaller things
