Also what are the main differences in the cars??? I have looked and found a few bits and bobs of information so im not being totally lazy asking for information......;)

Im very close to buying a standard 1999 S1 for just over £7k with marginally over 50k on the clock. Majority of service history and the car looks to be in decent condition and has recently passed its MOT. I will be arranging a full inspection before purchase.

I will be buying it with the intention of doing less than 3000 miles a year in conjunction with my Elan that i also do less than 3000 miles in.

I think around £1500 difference. Different gearbox, engine, wheels and cosmetics. £7k for a good standard S1 seems a good price.

deal, if the car is as good as you say and has sh buy it anything tidy at the moment sell's quick or is big money!

111S (in S1 guise) is the VVC engine, CR box, wider wheels and tyres, etc etc.

certainly worth a premium over a boggo S1
