pretty standard practice though - give them notice, then the ones that really want it re-apply ...Lotus gets to pick the best that fit their new criteria....

Some of the European dealers are shocking! Last year I used Komo-tec in Germany over 150 miles more than my local dealer but about half the price!

My Local dealer was 8 miles away and wanted to charge £200 to pick the car up / vs Komo tec that charged £50 even tho it was miles away!

This is a really good time for Lotus to start a distribution next work of good dealers. Maybe they should join forces with Ron Dennis's new network!

I am a big user of Van der Kooi Lotus Amsterdam and find the service excellent.
I also last year on our summer vacation used Lotus in Vienna for some running repairs and found them nothing but helpful (and got the repair for free)

Would be a shame to loose Van der Kooi but as they are so heavily involved in racing an Exige I cannot see them giving up the dealership.

Considering that anecdotally, more than a few seem to be st, I'm not surprised. I suspect Lotus are sick of dealing with a lot of them. Here's hoping that there's a bit of a shake up across the board, both at Lotus and in their network.

I think its about bloody time - down in my part of the world I can't trust any of the the lotus dealers, my last 120 mile round trip for warranty work was a total waste of time as they got the wrong part and the other part was broken. I have pretty much given up with lotus and do a 250 mile round trip to sportomotive in salisbury whom are not even Lotus anymore. However their level of knowledge and expertise is excellent.
