I'm potentially in the market for buying an S2 Elise! Spotted a few I want but cant seem to get insured on anything less than 2k! Looking to spend no more than £12k really for a weekend toy

Any younger S2 owners with 4yr NCB bonus find anywhere cheaper?! Im insuring my Fiesta ST at the moment for about £500. I know they are completely different cars but £2k seems outrageous!

try competition car insurance, of the scottish lotus boys use them.

try joining seloc or another forum as they class that as a club and you can get extra discount.

also, you get 6 trackdays thrown in foc;)

Just be careful with some of the Insurance companies as they will require you to have a years experience of driving a similar type car before they will insure you.
Good luck in the hunt smile

you'll struggle to be honest.

BELL.co.uk is your best bet however and will be cheaper than CCI.

i had 3 S2 Elises between 18 and 21 and insurance was always silly (in hindsight very silly) - got more reasonable when I was 21 and now I have an Exige it's sub £1k only a year later.

Well done! That's great owning cars like that at that age! Now I've finally made it! Did the hard bit and bought a house last year! About ready to treat myself! So who did you use and how much did you pay?

I fancied an exige but thought that would be stupid insurance!
I've just signed up to seloc so will browse it tomorrow!!

Cheers buddy! I've managed to get down to £1500 with elephant but not what I want to be honest!
