Looking to sell my Lotus Exige but need to know what it's worth. A garage offered me £16k but I was not willing to accept that figure, he's the spec.

"2005 (54plate) Titanium gunmetal grey, 48k miles, electric windows, air conditioning, carpets, leather seats, upgraded exhaust system, pipercross induction kit. Comes with 10 months road tax, 11 MOT, just been serviced and has a full Lotus service history"

Thanks for any feedback.

Might be worth dropping Tanman a line. Andy sold his which was similar spec and age etc. At least you'll get an idea of what people are prepared to pay.

Again, mine is similar but a lot lower mileage with lots of upgraded bits. I'd hope for a private sale of £18K although I stress "hope".

Hi Tony wavey
Don't mind letting you know mbycey mine was similar spec but had less mileage, 26k. It went for £18250 to a Belgium trader. I had a bit of interest from other people but agreed to sell it to Hermes as he was coming along way. I put mine on for £18500 as needed a quick sale (for a house) and sold it within 2 weeks.
With regards to yours mbrycey, having more mileage I do suspect it maybe worth £16-17K tops. Whilst the mileage should not make that much difference (we know how good the engines are) it does tend to. Good luck selling her

£16k trade-in on that in the current climate is good money. If you want rid then price it at £18k private and be prepared to take offers from £17k plus.

Does it have the Performance or Touring packs? Harnesses or motorsport seats?

Hi Andy

Shame it went, at least it was for a good reason. Even better to hear it went for a reasonable price. Mine might be going next year to part fund a new business. I've started it three times since the end of September and one of those was to put it in the garage :-(

To be honest Tony, whilst it was a shame to see her go I was, like you, using the car less and less. Only done 1000 miles since it was serviced in April and therefore not totally heartbreaking. Hope it goes ok with the new business venture (may I ask what are you going to do?). Yours IIRC has a lot less miles than mine did so you should still be looking at £18K+ even next year.

Is it the touring pack with air con and leather seats? It has that. Yeah gutted to let it go but it's just not being used at the moment and it's a shame to see it sat on my drive. I would be happy with £17k, thanks for all your feedback guys.

Mines with touring pack, alcantara seats and trim and air con. I then have lots of tweaks like HIDs, LED lights, colour coded (similar to an S), larini exhaust, ITG induction, uprated engine mounts, brakes, harnesses etc etc All things that are worthless resale but might attract (or put off!) some buyers.

/@Andy, not sure yet but food related, may or may not keep the car depending on things next year.
