I'm looking for a new head unit for
my S1 Elise - any recommendations?

I'd like it to be:

1. Easy to hear over the engine noise
1.5: ideally adjusts the volume when the revs come in!...
2. Easy to operate while driving (have to lean over to reach the controls at the moment which is a pain)..[maybe with a steering wheel remote..easy to install: inconspicuous..must handle the MP3-file/folder navigation though]..?
3. Reasonable sound quality (I'm not a 'hifi freak', but I like to hear the music!)
4. Not too flashy that it cries out 'steal me please' (I'm lazy and don't like carrying the face around all the time)!
5. easy to install
6. weatherproof!

My current shortlist is from Halfords:
A) The Sony CDX-R3300 (cheap; got a good sound quality review in a mag recently; looks relatively inconspicuous).
B) The JVC KDLHX502 (I think) in silver. Expensive but talks to you (cheesy but might be useful in the Elise..keep my eyes on the road!).

Has anyone got one of these: are they good/bad/cheesy?

Would you recommend another model?
