I am picking up an S2 02 on Friday and noticed that it had rusty rear grills.

Is this normal for a car that is only two years old ?

mine went after a year - had them replaced under warranty...they are about £40 a pair if you want some new ones or just take them off and spray them with hammerite

Just took mine off the S1. I don't know if the S2 are the same as far as the fixings go, but the S1's had to be drilled out.

I got mine sand blasted at work to take off all the rust and paint then got them powder coated black, so they are less likely to rust.

they look nice and clean now - job well done.
