There i was. Minding my own business. On the roads. In El 'beast.

The road in question was the M62. There are a few cameras about this area so i didnt drive like a nob Also i just couldnt be arsed to cain El 'Beast so i was just mincing along.

Then

WHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

What flies past?

A bloody S2 thats what! But it wasnt any old S2. The Exhaust was SO loud. The Wheels were the FATTEST wheels i have ever seen and it was so low to the ground. The bodywork was also "modified" and the diffuser was feckin huge!

There was no lotus badge in the middle of the rear but another badge (red and black)

But the main thing about it was the sheer speed of it. I must have been going around 70-80mph but the speed he shot passed must have been about 140mph+

It was a sky blue colour (not standard). Any ideas? Did i see an Esthi?

If it belongs to any lurker on here:

In the interests of furthering my Lotus knowledge can someone enlighten me on the seemingly fabled "Esthi"

yup £70K + options...there isnt one in the UK yet, in fact I dont think theyve sold very many yet all all that Ive heard of. KenP had one on order for delivery late last year but it never came off - they wouldnt give him a deliver date yet wanted a hefty deposit IIRC

70?????????? how the arse did it end up that expensive...sure I originally read around the 40K mark. Surely the audi engine aint that expensive, and stretching the body might cost a few thousand, but not 50!!

Audi RS6 engine would be big bucks and you cant just drop it in. The gearbox is not exactly standard either.

Also the whole braking system is from an Esprit to cope with the speeds.

Awesom car but not what I would buy if I had £70K in my pocket

Hi Dragstar,

Thursday - M62... That would be me then!

Was on way from Chester to Huddersfield and had to pick the misses up in Cheetwood, suppose I was in a bit of a hurry! Dont remember seeing another Elise though

Description was a tad exaggerated (if it was me) but it does have t-bodies and full stainless de-cat. It definately ain't an Esthi mate!!

Has been debadged, but I had a Lotus Motorsport one made up at Stoneleigh Kit Car Show the other week.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you next time i'm over that way, and yer right about the cameras!

Cheers,

Carl

Carl forget about the car. If you look at the first picture on your Yahoo account it shows a bloke on a bed with 3 tasty looking ladies. I presume it's you? What's the story?

Hehe - blonde = teh win . Does the missus know about this?

The alloys on your car are pretty badass . Could you let me know the design & sizes you used to get that look? Did you have to alter the suspension at all?

Thanks in advance
