Squeaky Noise From the Rear

My S2 has recently developed a squeaky noise that seems to be coming from the rear suspension, but this only happens when the car gets really hot. Anyone got any ideas what could be wrong?

Its probably an empathy squeak for my rear window

I had what sounded like a knock at the rear, only when hot. By bouncing the rear up and down when parked I could tell it was a creaking sound. It turned out to be ball joints on track rods, which creak if they get hot and the grease drys out. Get an 18mm spanner and waggle the track rods and try to get the grease to move around a bit, if thats what it is it will shut it up.

the car is just under warranty at the moment so i may get the garage to have a look with a view to getting them replaced under warranty.
