Hey all i know its been written on here before...we all run diff temps as ive learned..

Anyway since last weekend i think, my elise has been running upto around 75 then down to 73,72 and clocking 70..then up a tad more, but last monday 70 was the big number. Since then its been upto 75 max then back again all bl0000dy week, on my return from work saturday i checked coolant level, looked fine to me checked to see if i could see any leaks-nothing.

Last check i just tightened up the coolant top a touch-never took elise out until tonight, on the ring road we go..65....69....70.....72...75...72...73..74...75...oh here we go again, then...77....78....79....78....79..78...80....woah 80 aint seen you for a while...80....80....at last im back. Yah knew it.

Parking in the garage (a real pain due to my girlfriends "wa*k" parking) wooaaahhhh 84!!! 84!!! oh baby im happy.

So can you tell me please do, would tightening the cap do it???????jesus i dont know..

Went to beaulieu today, with my girlfriend as she was on business there and i get to go free!...in salisbury went past sportmotive and they have a beuty an orange s1 with sport 160 wheels! oh baby i want you!!...

Anyway then went to beaulieu wondered round the auto jumble and went to the beaulieu museum, nothing to cool so we went to leave then noticed "the james bond experience.." mmm sounds good. and it was good.

They had the esprit from the spy who loved me! it was amazing...took a piccy so will put it on my webshots page! (sad i know!) but like many of you i expect i loved that car and had the toy one which fired missiles out the back!!....james bond needs an exige come on people how cool would that be probably not has water tight as the esprit though

Talking of sad i realised how bl0000dy boring some car people are when wondering round the auto jumble..ive been to a few, but my god what a bunch!..

sounds normal to me !

...just think - if you were in a normal car that had an analogue guage with a needle - would you be able to spot a 5-10deg fluctuation that varies from time to time?...nope....its that bleedin digital guage and the paranoia of HGF that has us all watching it like a hawk.

The coolant is pressurised and shouldnt boil until 120deg IIRC start worrying if its constantly over 110deg - the fan dosent come in until 95 or 100 deg (cant remember - its different on S1 and S2) and when it comes on it should bring the temp down when sat in traffic etc.

When I had a HGF the first signs when driving were the coolant temp going from 82 up to 100 for a second and ten back again - i dont think its anything to worry about just fluctuating...if anything it could just be a dodgy temp sender
