Hi,

Has anyone has any experience (good or bad) with the Lotus dealer Murray Motor Company based in Edinburgh and Glasgow ?

www.jmgroup.co.uk/

Was looking at used machines from them as they are my closest dealer.

Also, can you buy direct from Lotus ?

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scotte,

Bought an S2 (company car) through JM group just over 3 years ago, and have spent the ensuing period in a state of near continuous bafflement regarding the "idiosyncracies" of JM's service. I'll write more once the latest of these (regarding a broken suspension component, among other things) has been resolved... I think it should make for interesting reading for those considering an Elise/Exige, especially through JM.

Does anyone out there know any other, good Lotus garages in Scotland, or the English Borders?... ... ...

I think there is a dealer in Aberdeen

www.town-and-county.co.uk

but not been up there for a while. Am trying to find a list of all dealers in scotland.

Is it possible to buy new from direct form Lotus ?

Cheers
Scott

Town & County are in Aberdeen.

I got a good deal down South from Peter Smith Sports Cars in the midlands, trading in a Lotus for a Noble. They are sports car specialists.

Take care with this kind of topic - don't wanna rain on the parade but the name and shame rules are enforced pretty stringently on the boards and the thread could get locked out.

Perhaps best to email less favourable opinions through profiles?

Town and County Aberdeen have lost/given up the Lotus Dealership after only a year.
